I’m Not Usually One to Toot My Own Horn, But…

I would rather hide in a quiet room with my Kindle or laptop than have a room full of people looking at me.

I don’t like having attention placed on me which is why I became a blogger and author instead of an actor like my nephew, Sam Claflin, who is going to be playing Finnick in the next Hunger Games movie. He also played the Prince in Snow White and the Hunstmen, the missionary in Pirates 4, and more.

Notice how I got the attention off myself already, and I haven’t even gotten to the point of this post! Phew, now I can breath a sigh of relief –  just kidding.

I’ve been mentioned a few times recently and I wanted to let you know about them because I’m proud and excited to be listed and also because the links themselves are very valuable and I know you’ll get a lot out of checking them out!

Three places I was listed this month

This morning when I checked my email, I was surprised and honored to find out that I’d been listed in the Top 100 Personal Development Blogs of 2013. Imagine my surprise to see that I was listed as #20! Click the image to see the list of all 100 blogs:

A couple of weeks ago I had the honor to be listed in The Power 100 - The 100 Best Blogs for the Modern Writer over at LiveHacked. Click the image to see the entire list:

Yesterday, I was quoted over at the Positive Writer on a post about How to Overcome Your Internal Naysayer Using Affirmations. If you’re a writer, you’ll find the post very inspiring! My affirmation was shared with many other great writers, including Mr. Jeff Goins. Click the image below to check it out:

I encourage you to take some time and check out each of those amazing resources! You have the potential of finding many new blogs to follow and some inspiring affirmations to keep you going when the writing gets tough.

New header for my author blog and a new book on the way!

As you’re probably aware, I published my first novel late last year. I’m in the process of editing the next book in my series for publication in about a month! While my graphic artist has been hard at work on the cover for the next book, he also created a very nice new header for my author site! You can click the image below to see it on my blog.

Speaking of my upcoming novel, Betrayal, I’m in the process of putting together a blog tour for it. I’m looking for bloggers who will post about the book during the week of March 18 (my birthday week!)

There are several way to participate in the blog tour:

  • Write a book review for either of my two books in the series (Deception or Betrayal). Review copies will be provided upon request.
  • Author interview – you provide the questions and I’ll answer them.
  • Character interview – provide interview questions for one of the characters in my book which the character will answer.
  • Write a post announcing the release of Betrayal. I’ll provide images and other information that you need.

I’m also putting together a launch team. These are people who will help me to promote the book when it’s released. This includes tweeting, sharing, blogging, writing reviews on Amazon, etc.

UPDATE: You can sign up for the blog tour or launch team here!

Thank you for helping to make this blog a great place!

To Your Success,

Stacy
