The post that is dearest to my heart is “One Word that Guarantees Success”. When I first came across this title, I was naturally curious about what that one word was. So, I clicked on the link, and there it was. If anybody else wants to know, I’d suggest reading the post (I’m not going to spoil the suspense.) Anyway, it took me years to actually figure out that it has value. In my youth, I had been taught that it was a very dangerous word, and that having it as part of my vocabulary was dangerous and brought with it lots of negative consequences. How silly! But, now I know better. It’s a very empowering word, and yes it does most definitely guarantee success.

Hi Anthony,
That one word took a long time for me to find the value in it as well. For a very long time I shied away from using it and thought that it was bad. I’m glad that I now know how freeing it is!

I like the post on sabotaging success. The wrong questions that we continually ask ourselves can definitely contributed to lack of motivation which in turn can harm our chances for success.
I have to watch that personally, because I do have a lot of negative self talk. This stems from having a critical form of thinking. That is the draw back to critical thinking. The plus side is that you have a logical method for separating fact from fiction.
However, the negative self- talk and questions have to stop. Thanks Stacy

Hi David,
Ditching the negative self talk is definitely a process. It took me years to get over it and it can still creep up at times. I first learned about the power of self talk about ten years ago!

For passive personal improvement and stress relief, the number one thing that works for me is waking up early. The reason is that it gives me enough time to get everything I need to get done and so that alone reduces my stress. I make a to-do list every evening for the next day and in the morning I work on knocking off each item. Organization and motivation are seriously the keys to success in personal development (or with anything really).
