There is one word that will guarantee success.
Without that one word you are doomed to fail. You will not hit your goals. You will struggle…a lot more than necessary. Some struggling is necessary for growth.
We all want to avoid as much struggle, pain and failure as possible. Even knowing that failure doesn’t make us a failure because nobody likes to fail.
So what is that one little word?
That one little, seemingly insignificant word is “no”.
No?
That’s the word that guarantees success? That’s such a negative word, how can that guarantee success?
Without the word no we would all be running around accomplishing nothing. We would buy every product offered to us, we would click every link in every email. We would do everything that everyone asked us to do.
Have you ever been a people pleaser or know someone who is? They can’t say no to anyone and they run themselves ragged. They don’t take care of themselves, they feel guilty, they are overworked and underslept. They taken advantage of and though they have a smile on their face they are not happy at all.
They aren’t accomplishing anything.
When you try to please everyone you end up pleasing nobody. When you try to do everything you end up not getting anything done.
What is needed is focus on the goals of life and the ability to filter out the rest – and to feel good about saying no to a lot of things and a lot of people.

Very good advice my friend! You do indeed have to look out for yourself because if you are not keeping yourself well and happy, you simply are not making anyone else happy.
Part of that is being able to look after your own success and do the things that are important to you.

Excellent advice!
I think, sometimes, we can get too wrapped up in trying to please our audience or our family or our friends or whoever we’re trying to please and we forget why we’re doing it in the first place.
Sometimes simplicity is key and no matter what you do, your audience will enjoy it because it’s coming from a genuine place.

It’s very true, You can’t please everyone and you can’t do everything. Here you must know what you’re capable of and accordingly you should manage everything. There should be no hesitation in saying no… and I feel it actually increases your respect for your honesty.

It is all to easy in business to get distracted from what you are trying to accomplish. I do free lance work, and for a very long time I struggled rejecting contracts that simply weren’t lucrative enough. In all walks of life it is important to remember exactly what you are trying to accomplish, and not to stray from that.
