Blogging has become an extremely popular financial and personal endeavor people are taking online. As the internet becomes more and more central to our everyday lives, we continue to add our voice, thoughts, and expertise to the conversation. While blogging can be a wonderful way to make a living, add to your professional repertoire, and explore your interests, it can also be a wonderful way to learn more about yourself and better your own being. Blogging creates the perfect atmosphere for self-reflection and self-exploration, as well as many other self-bettering qualities.
Manage and Control Your Time
Part of improving yourself involves improving how you spend your time. Blogging can be a wonderful and productive way to manage your excess time. Rather than sitting down to watch an hour or two of television or surf the web for your spare time, try writing about your passions, interests, or expertise. This is time better spent and can help you develop existing interests, explore new interests, or expand your knowledge. Writing is a rewarding process in and of itself, so blogging is a wonderful way to put that writing to practical use. Regardless of your goals for your blog—be it monetary or personal—writing can help with future professional goals and help give you purpose outside of work, family, or something else.
Find Your Voice
The writing process enables people to find their voice in many different respects. Firstly, we are able begin to develop and recognize our own writing voice through the blogging process. Writing regularly allows you to begin to notice patterns in your speech and writing style. This is useful in all aspects of life. Writing is a major form of communication and understanding your own writing habits allows you to communicate your needs and wishes more easily. Furthermore, by understanding how your writing voice works and the patterns you create, you will be better able to decipher your own thinking. Your inner voice speaks in the same way that your blog writing does. Recognize this voice and learn to understand and guide it. Lastly, blogging allows you to find a voice on the internet and among your peers. Blogging allows you to display your knowledge or interest in something and receive feedback from others interested in that area. This is a rewarding experience that also provides a feeling of personal accomplishment and worth.
Educate Yourself
There is no better way to invest in yourself than with education. Education and learning new things is the key to becoming a better and healthier individual. Blogging allows you to delve deeply into specific topics or areas that interest you. Because you want to provide your readers with thorough and well-researched information, you too will learn something on the topic. Not only will you learn things from doing your own research for your articles, you will learn things from your readers and blogging peers.

The best benefit you get from your blog is, you can easily increase your knowledge and skills as you have to search about any topic before publishing it. Plus once you start getting good traffic then you start earning as well.

Hi Kimberly,
Blogging really does help you to learn to express your own ideas, that are bottled up inside. Blogging uncorks the bottle so your great ideas can be poured out and shared with others.

I agree with you. Those are the simple yet intangible things that blogging can give us.

Absolutely. Everyone should start a blog. Follow your passion. Write about things that excite you. Try to keep it in a niche topic. You will start to have followers, and you can monetize it. So why would people NOT want to start a blog? No clue.

I really believe that blogging has many advantages as well. I agree with you. You can learn a lot of things just by reading some blogs and by making your own blog. You can also say what you think and feel through posting in your site and you can be yourself without worrying that people might say something negative about you.

I have to agree with the education part. It’s a never-ending thing. Every single day, there’s going to be something out there that you’ll learn. It could be a current event; it could be an update to something that has been around for a while; it could be anything.

Hey Kim,
Great Points!
Yes, it is definitely important to manage your time, pace yourself and divide up the efforts over time – to get the best results for what you are doing.
I can relate back to this, because I used to waste my time on checking my emails and social media accounts (over and over again!). But recently, I have taken matters into my own hands – taking blog challenges to get things done).
Of course, others are important.
