If life was easy all of the time we would grow lazy and rarely be motivated to change and grow.
How motivated were to change the last time that you were laying on a beach under the sun and beautiful blue sky?
Difficulties often force us to change in ways that we never would otherwise.
When we are in situations that make us uncomfortable we see the need for a change in our own actions, attitudes and thinking. Assuming of course that we are looking to grow, otherwise all we will see is how other people need to change to make us comfortable!
Each difficulty presents a learning opportunity, otherwise it wouldn’t be difficult. Look for the lesson to be learned, look as hard as you need to because once you find that lesson it is something that you will be able to carry with you for your whole life!
After you have come out of the difficulty and look back at how you grew and overcame challenges you will feel great about yourself!
You can inspire and encourage others towards personal growth and development! Others can be inspired by you in many ways, whether they are watching you from the sidelines or whether you share with them how you overcame a difficulty when they are going through a similar trial.
Challenges initiate creativity. It is said that difficulty is the mother of all inventions, when people are in situations that they don’t like the successful people will use their creativity to find ways to deal with the difficulties. Many inventions were created this way and also many great works of art were created in times of the artist’s stress.
Each time that you successfully overcome a difficulty you will have more confidence to successfully overcome the next challenge that life throws your way. You will become stronger each time and each event of personal growth through these challenges will build on each other to make you stronger and stronger, more and more confident!
To Your Success,

I see challenges in life not as a problem we need to solve on, but as an achievement we need to work on. The greater the difficulty of the challenge is the greater the reward we can get from overcoming it.

Hi Candice,
That’s a great mindset to have! It’s so true too, though it can be difficult to think that way in the middle of obstacles. It’s great that you are able to hold fast to that mindset!

That is so true, when we can look past the difficulties we are able to see the big picture!

Over the past couple of years I’ve started to view problems/difficult times more as a learning experience.
That’s not to say that I ran away from my problems, I just didn’t think about them too deeply. Did do the ‘why me thing’ a bit too much too.
But when you’re in the thick of a downward spiral and you hit that bottom point, the only way forward is get back up again and become more stronger and wiser than before. I find stopping to ask yourself ‘what is it I need to learn here’ really does help. Brings a higher level of clarity and gives provides that extra push to keep on going.
It is so true the times which are the hardest are the times where we grow the most. You’ve just got to buckle up and make the most of the ride because good things are just around that corner.

Hi Mena,
It sounds like you have come a long way in your personal growth! Sometimes difficult times are what we can appreciate the most in retrospect – after we’ve received the rewards of growth!

If we didn’t face any difficulties we would never learn anything! Some of my biggest breakthroughs have come as a result of some “problem” or “difficulty”.
Once I started to view my so called problems as a learning opportunity, my life changed forever.
It’s nothing to complain about, it’s just another lesson to learn and another chance to grow as person.

Truly inspiring post, Stacy! So true. Look at what we will become and what we can contribute to the world and how we can enrich it when we overcome difficulties life throws at us.
Difficulties are no fun. Then again, it really has more to do with one’s attitude. Someone with the right attitude will see all challenges and difficulties as “opportunities.”

Hi Stacy,
I couldn’t agree with this post more. I know that I feel much stronger when I have encountered a challenge and have come through it ok. When another challenge presents itself, I will then recall how I made it through the last one, and then am not as worried or apprehensive.
Nice post! Until next time.

Hi Stacy,
What you have written is so true. People avoid difficulty but they don’t know that it presents an opportunity.
I attended a seminar a few years back about a certain business model. One of the gurus said that the process was really complex. But it’s a good thing because not many people will do it as it’s difficult. This means…not much competition.
