Building a new habit can be quite the experience, can’t it? It would be much easier to give up when the going gets tough.
I hope that the exercises that I have provided so far have been a help and an inspiration to you to keep going! You’ve made it this far, you should feel great about that even if things haven’t gone exactly as planned. When do they ever?
Has it helped knowing that others are going through this challenge with you? Even though many of you aren’t leaving comments I know that there is participation going on behind the scenes because I can see the numbers of people viewing the pages and I also get email comments from people participating.
Today would be a great day to think about the insights that we have picked up along the way of this habit building experience. We’ve discussed seventeen ideas and activities so far which has hopefully sparked your creativity, inspiration and overall experience.
What have you learned writing letters to yourself? We wrote on to our future self and one from our future self regarding our habits. We’ve listed the benefits of the habit, what we hope and desire it to bring to our lives. We’ve looked at our inner dialogue and how that is affecting this journey and we’ve chosen music to help us be inspired.
We’ve created rewards for ourselves, studied success, looked at our attitudes and even created a mission statement and vision board (or some other kind of visual inspiration and reminder).
How has all of that helped you to stay inspired? What have you learned from those experiences? Which was your favorite? Which challenged you the most? Do you have any activities or ideas that you hope to see during the remainder of the month?
I would really love to hear your insights! Either leave a comment or send me a message by replying to the emails I send out (or if you didn’t subscribe to the emails you can use the contact form by clicking the “Contact” tab above.)
To Your Success,

Hi Stacy,
first, i must read many posts
wow, what a great site with many ideas!!!!! really great!
i think, the people are unique, and everyone must find the own way.
My favorite thing in life is music. Now, i sit here, read sites and posts about online marketing, and hear music. it`s my inspiration and my “innere Ruhe”.. sorry i can`t say it in english.
With music, the world is better, i can write many great posts for my blogs, and i became ideas…. and the life inspired me.
For my work at home i use a whiteboard. You need a plan for the work. That’s very important.
What can i say… i think your posts are really interesting for all people and i hope, you write more posts in the future. i would come back
so, thanks a lot for your site and posts. great ideas
with best wishes for you and your team from germany. Sandy

I think my biggest lesson was the bamboo one so far, because I have been putting in a lot of work – not just towards this month’s goals, but towards all my goals…and that analogy helped me to remember that the outcome I’m looking for (a fast and steady payoff) may be just around the corner.
I’m enjoying my new life with my new habit and I’m glad that I chose it. And I’m excited to start more good habits and build them just the way I’ve been doing this past little while. I’m excited to see where I will be a year from now. A different person with a different outlook? Maybe things will happen that I didn’t expect? It’s all very exciting, and I’m looking forward to whatever comes.

I really do like your series of the habit building, sometimes it can be really hard to do this on our own. I know it depends on the type of the habit we want to build, my husband actually needs to build a habit for an alternative of his chain-smoking. I’ve just mailed him your text:)

Thank you very much. It is definitely much harder on our own, a little encouragement and accountability can go a long way!
