It is interesting to find ways to eliminate ego by using failures as stepping stones for success. The process of conversion of failures into stepping stones takes a long way. There are different kinds of achievers in life. Some take their course by birth whereas some others take through a great struggle. In blogging horizon, quite often success stories happen in an unexpected way.
Some blogs make a huge fortune just because of their timely fulfillment of audience wants but not because of all the drums and whistles employed on the blogs. On the other hand, some blogs become a huge flop even though extensive and professional care was taken in all aspects of the blogging horizon.
Whatever might be the background, success is sweet. We shall find how to engage failures in killing one’s ego and to liberate the thrust for success.
Setting wrong standards
In order to deal with professional setbacks we should take time to analyze where we are failing, why we are failing and what needs to be done to overcome failures. In short, we need to identify our blogging mistakes in the first place. Those who do not spare time for analysis and reporting of their work should have time to hear their failures.
Quite often it happens that people set wrong expectations or standards well above their capacity. It makes them over burdened or over stressed and in turn they are prone to deliver less than their potential. Instead of being crushed under heavy burden of unreasonable workloads, it is better to carry on a fair amount of load which you can justify.
When we first set up our discount coupon blog that features jupiter images and photos.com discount coupons, we struggled and failed at certain things just because we set wrong expectations. When we realized this very fact and eliminated those expectations, the bumpy ride was over!
As prevention is better than cure, setting wrong expectations should be avoided so that extra time need not be invested to deal with setbacks.
No one is Omnipotent
The world is big. The knowledge is vast. All this cannot be contained in a single human brain. Failures occur due to mismatch of expertise with the delivery requirements. When you face audience that demands too much of technical expertise, it is better to deploy an expert in the related field than dripping your hands with smudge.
Having an open heart and mind to accept the failure will fill the adrenaline to take up new challenges. It gives fresh insight to your future aspirations. The new goals and targets should be adjusted to reasonable heights and levels so that the past setbacks will not repeat. It is wise to take up failures with positive spirit and positive attitude and focus on the coming objectives rather than reminding the defeat.
Setbacks – time for regeneration
When you come across failures, it should be the time to sit back, relax and assess the failure. Blogs which were dull and were not popular even after taking all kinds of promotions, will be a great upset for the blog owner. After feeding the blogs all through the years and reaping no fruits will be a difficult time in any one’s blogging career.
Successful blogger will make no stone unturned until the winning streak happens. After careful examination of the blogging process and eliminating wrong practices and methods and optimizing proven method, blogs are prone to march towards success.
Know your potential
It is essential to know your potential for blogging. You should know how much you can spend and how much you can consume. A completely discharged battery will not deliver the power. Hence, having right potential and regular recharge will help withstand failures in any career including blogging.
As blogging requires patience, intelligence and both soft work and hard work, your potential should be analyzed and should set limits for your achievements within your capacity to fulfill them. You should never compare your potential with others and backbite yourself. Even though all of your friends had attended the same school and same class that you had attended, each of your friend’s success level will be different and it entirely depends on one’s innate capability.
Hence, instead of being disappointed with failure, it is advisable to march ahead with fresh thought and approach.
The art of humility
When your mind is fully tuned to take up any eventualities that come across your blog that you tread upon, you will not be gripped with fear. You should be prepared to acknowledge the superiority of performers in your line of blogging who had crossed many more milestones well ahead of you. The art of appreciation of others’ capability and the ability to hold on even if you are being humbled will fill your feathers to launch deep into the success zone.

Great post! It is helpful for bloggers to consider the process of trial and error that you describe in your post. It is similar in life as well–you try new things which may or may not work out, but then you learn from that experience! And later you try something else!

Initially almost everyone fails but it’s our responsibility to find the reason behind it and improve it so that next time we can succeed. To be successful you must have a spirit to never give up as you may have to try many times before tasting success.

Failure is a great teacher, if we just accept it and just move on and try not to commit the same mistake then surely it will lead to greater heights for us. So don’t be discourage if at first you failed. Just go on, don’t give up and go on.

Failure is always a possibility in any endeavor. The secret to attaining success is to remain committed and to work hard. It is also wise to learn from your own mistakes and the mistakes of others. Believe in yourself!

Hey,
Stacy, wonderful post. Failure is the ultimate way to success, rather a roller coaster. The thing is we should first try to analyse the failure and then make a fool proof plan to eliminate that failure. Success isn’t too much far from failure.
