I recently purchased my copy of The Secret Code of Success by Noah St. John on Kindle (though I didn’t have to pay, thanks so much to Swagbucks!) and I’m so glad that I did. It took me a long time to purchase it as I had heard several people that I respect talk very highly of the book.
I understood the basic concept of afformations, the art of taking an affirmation and turning it into a question to cause the subconscious to seek out the answers of how to get the desired results. I’ve had a lot of success using affirmations myself so I was more than happy to take it a step higher and give the afformations a try.
From the very start, long before I go the book, I could see there was a difference between using affirmations and afformations. I literally felt my brain working differently in response to the afformations, I could tell that my brain was searching for the answers.
Not only that but I did find that I would come up with some creative solutions to the afformation questions that were completely unique to anything I had thought of before.
So I knew that there was definitely something to the afformations, something different than affirmations. That’s part of the reason that I didn’t run out and buy the book right away. I thought I had it all figured out!
I’m so glad that I did get The Secret Code of Success because I now see that afformations are only on part of the secret code of success. They are a very important part, the very foundation of it, but they are incomplete by themselves.
I came to realize that affirmations have helped to change the way that I think – but they didn’t go far enough to change my life. That’s where the afformations come in.
There are other steps outlined by Noah in his book which teach you how to become one of the “three percenters” – the top three percent of people who truly achieve success in life and business.
First of all, Noah teaches us how to create afformations which are set up specifically for the needs of our individual lives and businesses. The entire book is a book of action and when you follow his activities you will discover more about yourself and needs that you didn’t know that you had. More than once I told myself that what I was reading was “pure genius”.
I was really surprised at the afformations that I came up with after completing his exercises, they were exactly what I need in my life yet they were not like any other I had come up with on my own without the exercises. In other words they were much more suited for my life’s actual needs than the ones I had thought I needed for my life’s needs. The exercises were that beneficial!
The rest of the chapters give the steps to becoming a three percenter and it really is the secret code of success. The book is a book of taking action in order to see results so if you are doing it right then it definitely takes time. I found myself wanting to read through it much faster than I was and even getting stuck at certain points because I needed more time to complete an exercise or work through a block that I had.
I still have not finished the book but I am so excited about it that I wanted to share about it with you! I highly recommend that you get this book and dig in – if you truly want to see changes in your life!

Hi Stacy,
This is the first time I’ve heard of afformations. I do a lot of affirmations. It’s done wonders for my outlook in life and I guess I’ve won half the battle. Now, I’m thinking combining it with afformations will bring great results. Theory and application. Thought and action.
Thanks for sharing this. Have a nice day!

At first I thought “afformation” was a typo, until I realized it’s another actual term! I hadn’t heard of these but it sounds interesting, I’ll definitely be checking out that book – probably on my Kindle, too!

Try not only giving yourself affirmations but others as well. A few years ago I started writing letter/notes to people that I had admired and left the note in a blank thank you card. At the end of my note I encouraged the receiver to use that note in thanking someone else. This transformed not only myself and thought but the community. Try it.

Awesome post, Stacy. I’ve been familiar with affirmations which I haven’t been using on a regular basis but I try to use them if & when I remember to. I’ve never heard of afformations. I’ll start to apply that in my life as well. Thanks for sharing the Swagbucks concept. I’ll be checking it out.
